We all know that Android latest version is “Android 4.3 Jelly Bean”. It has a “Restricted Profiles” feature. Today we will explain what is Android 4.3 Restricted Profiles feature?

Using this feature you can create separate profile for each family member with different apps restriction.

E.g. If you don’t want your child to use specific apps or game then you can create a separate profile for your child and put restriction on that app and games.

Similarly if you have tablet for your employees and you want to restrict chat and browser on that so that your employee can focus on their work then you can create separate profile for them with restricted use of browser and chat apps.

How to Create Restricted Profiles?

1-      Go to ‘Settings’ and then ‘Users’.

2-      You will get two options – Add

  •   User
  •   Restricted Profiles

3-      Select any options.

4-      You will get a screen with all the apps installed on your phone and you can set access ‘On/Off’ for the person for which you are creating profiles.

5-      You can add restriction to browsers as well.

Benefit of Restricted Profiles

1-      Same Android device can be used by different users without affecting other user’s privacy.

2-      Each user will have its own home screen, apps, widgets, games and backgrounds.

Currently Profiles and Users are only available for tablets only.
