Facebook has acquired ‘Mobile Technologies’ (Developer of world’s first speech to speech translator app JIBBIGO for iPhone and Android both).
‘Mobile Technologies’ founded in 2001, it developed Jibbigo, an app for iPhone and Android. It is world’s first speech-to-speech translator on a phone that runs online and even off-line.
Jibbigo allows you to select from over 25 languages. You can record a sentence or paragraph in that language or alternatively type in some text, and then get a translation displayed on screen and read aloud to you in a language of your choice.
Jibbigo is very useful app for travelers (as they have to face language problems) and for International Health workers.

This acquisition gives a hint that soon we may have a cross language chat or Graph Search feature in Facebook.
