In another semifinal played between India and South Africa, What a game it was. I am out of words today. Again he was hero. He performed splendid. Who? One and only one Virat Kohli and team India won this game by 6 wickets and entered into finals for the second time. What a match full of thrill! Summary of the Match

After winning the toss, South African captain Faf du Plesis elected to bat first. But, South African opener Q de Kock was unable to make a good start and was caught behind wickets just after scoring 6 runs in first over by B Kumar. After that F du Plesis accompanied H Amla who scored runs at a good pace. He was bowled by R Ashwin in 6th over, when the score of the team was 44 runs. He scored 22 runs in 16 deliveries. Captain Plesis scored highest 58 runs in 41 balls and was also bowled by Ashwin. JP Duminy scored 45* runs in 40 balls, while David Miller contributed 23* runs in 12 balls. Ashwin picked up 3 wickets in 4 overs giving away 22 runs while B Kumar got 1 wicket. Other bowlers could not get any success. South African team was able to get a good score of 172/4 in 20 overs.

Indian team got a good and quick start. Openers Rahane and Rohit Sharma were looking in good form today. Rohit Sharma hit 24 runs in just 13 balls, but could not take his score further and was caught by du Plesis on the delivery on Hendricks. Team India’s score was 39/1 in 3.5 overs. Rahane scored 32 runs in 30 balls. After Rohit Sharma’s dismissal, Virat Kohli and Rahane moved the score to 77 runs. Then Rahane was caught by de Villiers on the delivery of Parnell. Yuvraj Singh was the new batsman but was not able to score more and was out on 18 runs (17 balls). After that Suresh Raina came to the crease and scored 21 quick runs in 10 balls and confirmed team India’s win. But, in an attempt to hit six he was caught, when team India needed only six runs. Then Indian batting start V Kohli finished the match.

Virat Kohli played an outstanding inning and again showed his capabilities to hit against any bowler. Yes, he scored runs against every South African bowler whether he is Steyn, Parnell or Tahir. Raina aimed at Parnell and hit 2 fours and 1 six in his single over. Virat Kohli scored 72 runs in 44 balls. In his last 10 balls he scored 27 runs.
